Since Bill and I have been married we have paid off about $25,000 worth of debt, we also paid for our wedding in cash and managed to pad our savings account all at the same time. We have scrimped and saved and fortunately only owe a little bit on his truck and our trailer. I owe alot of this to the Dave Ramsey plan, but most of it to Bill's financial smarts. He has been such a wonderful influence on me, let me give you an example of how.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Acura TSX's. I have wanted one (white with a wing) for a good five years now. I mean lustfully (forgive me please?) wanted one, when I see one on the road I follow it for miles just to stare at the back end. I cannot peel my eyes from it. This beautifully sculpted and magical machine of fiberglass, that beckons me at every turn and teases me with it's crisp bright lights and super shiny wheels.
I've known that we might get some money from this land deal for a few months now, and IF AND WHEN we get some, it is already destined for investments and a little bit towards our downpayment for a house. I had a relapse yesterday, on my way to Bowmantown and thought to myself. WE COULD PAY CASH FOR A TSX with this land money. I could actually OWN an Acura TSX (they cost about $25K, not crazy right?) and it would last me forever! My 1994 Integra has lasted me 10 years as of this August, it is fourteen years old! Another 4 years and I can get an antique tag for it!! Then I came back to reality and remembered I am now 32 years old and not 22. I no longer am under the illusion that I am rich.
Did I mention that Bill has been a great influence on me? Yeah, that is the proof right there.
I would still love to have a TSX, but it's not gonna happen unless I get a job. My car runs just fine thanks!
Just one more look. Oh my she is beautiful. I would sleep in her.
