The economy is claiming yet another victim......

Bill's lay off date is just a little over two weeks away. He has worked for them for over six years, and needless to say it will be a life changing time for us. We have a plan though, my hubby does NOTHING without a plan, and that is one of the vast reasons I love him so.

So I may or may not be getting a job, full time, part time, who knows. I am up for anything. Money will probably get lean and there will be lots of praying involved, but I'm up to the challenge. God has blessed us greatly and we will keep on cherishing everything he gives us.

Thank goodness we've been on a strict budget for the past two and a half years, so I've been conditioned to "make do" with what is alotted for groceries, clothes etc. I have never been a disciplined person when it comes to money, but Bill sure changed me for the better! Gratefully, with a portion of his severence package we will finally be debt free. Maybe we can call Dave Ramsey and do the "I'M DEBT FREE!" scream.

We've also managed to save some money, granted the incentive was for a downpayment on a house, but I've accepted the fact that we are going to have to wait (now I'm glad to have it in the bank for hard times). I love our current home and I love where we live, it is cheap, very private and I can sunbathe without worry of anyone peeking through the bushes!

So yes we are uncertain, shaky and scared as to how this next year will be. But with God, each other, and our families we know we will be just fine.
